Tooling

Quality electrofusion joints are achieved through a combination of operator training, good fittings, calibrated control boxes, and the use of the correct tooling.

Coiled pipe is regularly used on ground source systems projects. The coiling process causes ovality in the pipe profile and it is critical that the pipe is ‘re-rounded’ as part of the electrofusion jointing process.

Tooling for electrofusion jointing includes:

Pipe scrapers
Re-rounding devices
Alignment clamps
Pipe cutters
